For main highways it's great. Several times when I was looking for secondary or unmaintained surface roads the maps were inaccurate with roads drawn in the wrong place. A lot of times the only way I have to navigate a new road or area is to look at the shape of the road or it's distance in relation to a known highway. The Nebraska Gazeteer was off several times. I had to spend a lot of time backtracking and getting help from locals.

As my daughter is nearing her eighth birthday in only a few more months, I'd been seeking age appropriate resources to help guide and grow her faith in the Lord. She's getting older and more childish things seem to be passing away in her life. She's beginning to ask a lot of questions and thinking about what her purpose in life could be.My search however was proving a bit difficult with most books and magazines being geared more toward older pre-teenagers. Things like boyfriends, cellphones, and fashion which most other devotions are filled with didn't really fit her criteria.However after I came across The Plans I Have For You Devotional and Journal set by ZonderKidz my search ended!The hardcover 160 page devotional is meant to be gone through over the span of 90 days. There are six sectors; I've Got Big Plans For You, I've Given You a Purpose, I Don't Do Small Things, There's Nothing You Can't Do, Find That One Thing, & What I Created You To Do. Each sector focuses on something different that all ties together beautifully.The illustrations throughout the book are awesome! The text and devotions give one something to think about. There is always a Bible verse for each day and questions to go along with each devotion if you pick up the corresponding journal. My daughter has seemed to enjoy this devotional and feels that it appeals perfectly to girls around her age. I personally think it's wonderful that it is not overwhelming to her. She'll pick it up all on her own and really contemplate and share her thoughts whether with me or in the journal. It's growth in her walk that I am so very proud of!This devotion overall guides the reader through their present each day and encourages them to look to the future in discovering God's purpose for their life. In turn, they will find peace, security, and the love and acceptance that we only can receive from the Lord. Excellent coloring book!

 I have purchased a couple of Manga style coloring books and generally, the girl is the only thing on the page. Christopher Hart has published many how-to draw books on Manga and his expertise shows in the great designs.In this new book, Mr. Hart has set his girls in with design elements in the background. Sometimes flowers, sometimes jewels, buttons, leaves and other various elements. Its fun to have more to color and to have the cute manga girls in the foreground. For those who enjoy manga or even just like coloring sweet looking girls, this should be a really fun coloring book.Most of the designs are of the sweet younger style of girl while a couple are a bit more mature (in the sense of age and not of anything that might be considered inappropriate.) The designs are detailed but not overly intricate. The backgrounds are the most detailed part of the design as the elements are smaller and somewhat repetitive.This is what I found while coloring in this book and while testing my various coloring medium on the paper:47 Manga Girl Designs with backgroundsPrinted on one side of the pagePaper is heavy weight, white, smooth and non-perforatedSewn BindingAlmost all designs merge into the binding area but the area is background and you will not lose any essential portion of the design if you want to cut pages out. If you want to remove pages, I suggest removing several pages at a time by clipping the binding threads. This way, the designs can be removed in total without any loss at all.Book can be opened fairly flat for coloring by breaking the spine – I still had switch the angle of the book several times to color the last bits and pieces near the binding.Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paperWater-based markers were mixed. Most did not bleed through but I found that Stabilo 88 markers did bleed through when I used dark colors.Gel pens and India ink pens did not bleed through the paperColoring pencils worked okay. I was able to get good color and layered well. Blending was only okay with both oil and wax based pencils having a slightly waxy appearance when I used a blending pencil.

This is an adorable little book that distracts me when I am not colouring in another more complicated book. The pictures can be as complicated as you want, or as simple as you want. Here's a good rule if you want complicated, or shading. Pick three colours, let's go with green as our example? Light green, Medium Green, Dark Green. Colour the entire area you want to be green in the light green, then colour in the places that are darker and darkest (That you've decided should be darker) with the Medium Green, then with the Dark Green you colour the Darkest that you decided should be shaded that way. You can't go wrong with those rules, and that goes for pencils or markers, which I use different kinds of each for each book.Great for kids and adults. And Adorable to boot.

I really enjoyed this coloring book! There are a lot of really cute pages and they're so much fun to fill in. The paper was also thick enough so that the ink didn't go straight through onto the other pages. Well worth the price!

this is a really cute coloring book, it has a lot of nice designs and it's cheerful. The only drawback is that there are a lot of very intricate background designs and unless you are using a very fine felt tipped marker or felt tipped pen or colored pencil with harder lead, it can be hard to stay within the tiny areas... i use colored pencils that are soft and i have to sharpen them every few little areas/stripes on things on some of the pages because they get dull and start to look bad. i guess you could also choose not to color the backgrounds though, so that's another option.

I am very happy with this coloring book. The quality of the drawings and the paper are excellent. The paper is thick and smooth. Drawings are one sided. My only negative comments is I wish the pages were perforated but all other aspects of this book are top notch so I'm not that worried about perforations. The drawings have in depth backgrounds. Coloring each page will take time.

I'm giving this book 4 stars mainly because I'm not a huge fan of all the pictures. There are some really great ones in here which is why I ended up keeping it. It would be really good for those who love to color the Anime type pictures.

My son has a brain that runs a mile a minute even as a young adult. I thought I’d see if coloring helped him just relax. Put this in his stocking and have already received several photos of ones he’s colored. I don’t know much about the anime stuff but he seemed happy with my choice.

The artwork is cute, but it is inconsistent. Sometimes the lines for the character are a bit blurry against the background, other times the art style isn't the same. But if you are looking for a coloring book featuring fun anime girls, this is a good book to pass your time on.

I received this Bible Word Search book, yesterday, so I haven't had a chance to do any of the puzzles, yet, but just looking through it, I knew it's what I've been looking for. Instead of having the list of words on the same page as the puzzle, the words are on the previous page. It's hard to find a search word book like that. I like the page set-up of this one because I don't want to know what the list of words are. Rather, I much more enjoy seeing how many I can find without knowing the answers. All I want to know is the subject (ie.,names of Bible cities, etc. ). Also, I really appreciate that the book is spiral bound which is an enormous help! The pages lie flat which makes it much easier to work with. Thank you, Brain Games!! :)

Gave this book to my mother as a gift. She's 91 years old and enjoys word search puzzles. She was very excited to receive it and works in it everyday. She's very pleased with the puzzles and really likes that the book has a spiral backing she says its easier to work in books like that because the pages lay flat.

My 91 year old mother enjoys the word search. A few pages are in a smaller font which makes it a little difficult for her to see. There are hidden quotes on some of the pages using the leftover letters. My son was helping my mother with the hidden quote. We were excited to see what the quote would be, but was disappointed that it was not a quote from the Bible. Would have been sweet to see Jesus loves you!

Gave as a gift. The Bible theme was well received. Would recommend for kids and adults. Recipient has cataracts and appreciated the large print!

This is a wonderful word search book! Though the print is large the puzzles are not all in squares. Many puzzles are in unique shapes to produce a new challenge. Several have hidden messages that can be found only after all the words have been circled. Bible knowledge is helpful but not necessary when going for a theme or hidden message. Absolutely recommended.

This arrived In very very bad shape. All bent up and looks like it had gotten wet at one point and then it was put in a plastic bag. The pages don’t turn and the reason I ordered it was because of the spiral pages that were supposed to be easy to turn. Also, it was said to be large letters and they are not easy to read for someone who is elderly.

My 66 year-old father always loves doing the weekly word search in the Catholic Herald (a newspaper). I got this for him for a holiday gift. Now he can do one every night and he won't have to wait until when the newspaper comes on Thursdays. He did one the night he opened the gift! The large print is nice and the spiral binding is very convenient. He was happy with the gift.

Our daughter is addicted to Word-Finds. She is Autistic so these help to keep her occupied when the need arrises. They are fantastic & well with the purchase. Will be back in the future.

James Harnish has put together a wonderful resource for people in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition, especially for United Methodists. Participants will explore:1) the goal of Christian discipleship2) the role of grace in discipleship3) the role of spiritual disciplines in discipleship.I would summarize Harnish's view this way: Christians grow in love of God and neighbor through intentional use of spiritual disciplines within the context of a Christian community. While the book has some elements of Methodist history, it is NOT primarily a history class but a guide to what John Wesley called "practical divinity," or practical, experiential Christian faith. Harnish focuses on the spiritual disciplines mentioned in the United Methodist membership vow: prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.I used this with two different adult groups and both appreciated it. This booklet is the basic group companion. The Daily Workbook is for individual use on a daily basis. Participants should be encouraged to use the daily workbook but not required. The daily workbook is a good resource for discussion leaders to garner discussion material.

This was the most Methodist, most theologically accessible, study I've done in our United Methodist Church for some time. I appreciated the author's approach to Wesleyan theology of a "practical divinity" -- a faith that is both believed and lived out. The long-term Methodists in the group appreciated learning something. And the non-Methodists among us gained an appreciation for Wesley's theology.

This is a really excellent resource for learning what it means to be a disciple in the United Methodist tradition. It explores the membership vows of serving the church with prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness and how to dig deeper into a relationship with Jesus through the spiritual disciplines related to each. I will definitely recommend this to United Methodist churches. I would recommend the daily workbook to go with it.

Before beginning this review, it's necessary to say outright that the Summa Theologica can't be looked at in the same way as a normal text. For one thing, reading it for entertainment is pretty much right out. The Summa is a dense and enormous theological text, complete with Aristotelian theological jargon. While not incoherent in the way that some philosophical texts can be (Hegel, for instance, has passages for which there are no universally agreed upon explanations), St. Thomas Aquinas' writing is certainly not light.With that said, the impact of Aquinas on the western world's philosophy and theology alone merit a five star review. Regardless of your religious or philosophical leanings, there is absolutely no denial of the fact that this book is important. To understand the Catholic (and majority Protestant) idea of God in exacting detail, for instance, or to gain a knowledge of fine theological points, there are few books of greater value than the Summa. That said, there may be better books for any particular individual, given the sheer scale and the highly technical nature of this book. The text was written to educate theology students in the 13th century, and as such, can read like a textbook (ie., it isn't a page turner).The Kindle edition has a brief biography of St. Thomas, and summary of his philosophy. Different articles are easily accessible via the "go to" function. The biography is somewhat interesting. The "go to" function is indispensable.

It is a bit of an absurdity reviewing a nearly 800year old text. Thomas Aquinas is a pillar of Christian thought and Summa Theologica is by far his most famous work. Therefore let me talk about this Kendle version. It's fine and gets the job done. The book is public domain so you can find it online for free. However, I wanted something to read on my Kindle. It was worth the $0.99

The Summa Theologica is all about God. "Quid sit deus?" That question absorbed the mind and heart of Thomas. The Summa is all about God, His Church, the Sacraments, the Commandments, Christian Morality. It is all so logical, so clearly stated. But it is deep- ever so deep. If you find yourself saying: this is clear and simple, be certain you have not found the pearl of great price!! The Teaching on Human Knowledge- the questions in the 80"s!!! marvellous, absorbing, liberating. If you don't find it so- sorry, you have yet to begin. Thomas takes you back to the Greeks. But please remember: Thomas is a Christian theologian. His mind, heart- absorbed in Eternity, God, Christ. Religion is both simple and abstruce. Thomas is a man the modern world needs- the modern world is yet to learn that Religion is a joy. Read Thomas- he will give you some clues. Not an easy question: Quid sit Deus?" Ignotus

As high an intellect as St. Augustine and as discerning as Thomas More; Summa Theologica will bring insights and conviction of the Catholic faith with arguments that can't be rebutted. The depth of thought is inspiring and the fortitude brings the reader to humble beginnings wanting to read it over and over.

For seven centuries of Catholicism Saint Thomas was "the" Common Doctor of the Catholic Church. It a must to know about his synthesis. He used all the knowledge available to his time to understand the human mind. He was able to declare that anything he read he was able to understand . Dialogue for him was to reach the point of view of others . That makes him modern, necessary today to learn not only about the main theological themes but to use his method to get new paths of the faith trying to understand.

You can't go wrong studying Thomas Aquinas. Be aware - Summa Theologica might take a lifetime to study & understand. It is not bedtime reading (actually it is, if you want to be put to sleep!) - but a serious book for the serious student. Aquinas had more important things to say than the contemporary Christian fluff of today. I love having this on my Kindle - because it would be too heavy to carry around!

If you want to know, from reason, about anything important, read Thomas Aquinas. The Enlightenment dispensed with his scholasticism, to our peril. You need to be acquainted with this great saint. Aquinas' thoughts were replete in the writings of the great thinkers; he was their link to Aristotle. For example, read the Summa articles TREATISE ON THE CONSERVATION AND GOVERNMENT OF CREATURES (QQ. 103-119) then read THE FEDERALIST PAPERS, George Washington's "Farewell Address." These are just a few of the works of the great minds of America's founders that were undoubtedly influenced by Aquinas' SUMMA THEOLOGICA.

To navigate its vast content I have used Kevin Vost's "The One-Minute Aquinas" to find sections of particular interest in Summa Theologica and expanded on reading related sections. The important role "the angelic doctor" plays for the foundation of Christianity makes this book a theologically very important one. Using Vost's book as a supplement and guide makes it slightly easier to overview and grasp this great accomplishment of a thought leader.
