Adorable book for young children. Happy to find a book with a child that looks like the child that will receive it. There are books for Black and Hispanic children, and lots of books with red-heads and blondes. I'm still looking for a similar book with a Native American child that is NOT a Thanksgiving story. If anyone knows of one, let me know. I would also be happy if I could find a Barbie doll that is Asian-American or Native- American that is not a "theme" or international series doll. The last time I checked, Asian Americans and Native American children wear the same clothes as white, black and brown kids. Hmmm, maybe I need to write my own books. Anyway, the book is sweet and has beautiful illustrations. Any minor errors in the Korean words is outweighed by the uniqueness of the book.
This book is adorable with great pictures and it introduces a little bit of Korean culture, which is great for my young ones because I am Korean American and have not taught Korean as much to my three year old. Now she is showing interest, so I wanted to teach her korean before I send her to Korean school. I bought this book and Tuttle korean for kids flash cards kit. It is working out great. I just wished this book was organized by the korean alphabet not American.
Excellent book for children and adult beginners to the Korean language and culture. Nicely illustrated. Written in English with simple Korean words emphasized. Also describes some aspects of Korean culture. Approved of by my Korean friends too :-).
Though some of the words are a little different that what I learned many years ago. I think it does a good job in combining English and Hangul.
So cute! A great addition to our library before our move. Though I honestly believed the adults in the household enjoyed it just as much or more than the kids.
Have been reading in my classroom. Has sound explanations for most letters (most of the unexplained are phonetically the same as English) Huge success. I recommend to teachers and families.

I'm half korean and half Italian and secretly love this book for me. I bought it for my nephews but find myself reading it more. My mom said some of the words are different than what she knows but she still understands when we talk to her
